Lately, I have been in love with everything wine colored. Of course, that includes the drink, nails, makeup, even at work! Everything around me as been a deep burgundy red and I am not complaining :]

Finger Strength

Like usual, I've been doing a lot of knitting. It's starting to really affect my fingers; I'M GETTING CALLUSES! hahaha. oh well. As long as my fingers are painted, that's all I care about.

What I've been knitting:

Finger-less Gloves! :]

Hand towel :]

Other then knitting those two projects I've been working hard at work and its paying off! Jeremiah and I both got the option to move to a different department where we'd both work the same days and same hours (which is GREAT for our budget) and we'd get 3 days off a week.

Oh, did I mention that moving departments means that we'll be getting a 5% raise? Holla!

This is the most adorable picture of Jere and Charlie <3
Short and sweet blog. Hey, I'm watching 'Pretty Little Liars' :)

June...

apparently June was not a month in my calendar this year. I wasn't even busy, really. Just the usual: knitting, nails, reading, drinking coffee, and working. I've got some FUN projects that I finished!! (Two of them I created and the other one I borrowed).

These two are ones that I just felt the urge to create something and I ADORE them!

My winter cowl!

Close Up
I created the winter cowl from an idea I got online but I decided to change it. After knitting all those dish clothes I was kind of burnt out on them, so I decided to make something to help sooth the Idaho winters. Its one of my absolute favorite colors and in the close up you can see the difference in the two 'heather greys' I picked out. The darker grey was by Red Heart (I don't usually like this brand's colors but this one is an exception) and the lighter grey is a wool from I believe Lion Brand? This cowl was easy to knit; heavy as I got further into it, but a favorite none the less. I'll be wearing this a lot this winter and fall!!

This is NOT supposed to be sideways.

Hey double-chin, How you doin'? :]
I love this cowl!! (I have a think for them, can't you tell ;]). My work is by Michael's and my coworker and I decided to go there on our lunch break. Our lunch is only a half hour so we were in a hurry. We went to the sale section and picked out the skeins that caught our eyes and this is the one I grabbed. It was called 'sombrero' and I know it was a sock weight but I don't remember this yarns' manufacturer's name either... oops.

With the sock weight yarn, I didn't know what to make but I LOVED the colors. It was cold when I got back to work (my work is either hot or cold) so I just grabbed my SIZE 11 NEEDLES and started making this. I'm used to knitting with cotton so this was a big adjustment with the smaller thread. I used the entire skein to finish this and every time I wear it I get compliments. And then I get to brag and tell them I did not buy it anywhere.... but that's a different story. More to come soon, Jeremiah is making breakfast :] YUMMY!

Accomplishment

I am currently typing this in my bathtub with my computer sitting on the ledge.

Weird? Not really.
Unsafe? Completely.

I finished the last of my dishclothes the other day and gave them to Amy this afternoon. It's my last day off this week and I wanted her to get them before she had the baby (she's been having contractions). I drug Jeremiah along with me. As much as he denies it, he loves my nephew Charlie (the current baby). So, I thought I'd get to spend a little quality time with him while he got what he wanted at the same time. Win-win situation.

Anyway. Here is the finished product:

All 8 of my pride and joy's :]

(sorry for the side view. Jeremiah took these)
Binky and a Stroller

Hand print and Moon w/ Stars

Rattle and Saftey Pin

Bottle and Baby Feet

Jeremiah picked out the ribbon :] so proud.

My favorite color is brown.. I had to.

I am so proud of myself for getting these done. It's not that difficult to learn how to knit and once I got started I couldn't stop. I'm now trying to learn how to make my own creations which is basically learning how to use and Excel Spread Sheet and getting started.

Also, I do NOT take ANY credit for creating these dishclothes. I got these from the amazing KrisKnits . She hasn't been using her blog as much, which is perfectly ok because life gets in the way of some things. I completely understand and, although I miss her knitting projects (her blog is what I aspire to be), I CANNOT wait for her return. I paid for these dishclothes and I WILL NOT be distributing them. They belong to Kris, I'm just glad she shared them with the public.

My sister loved these dishclothes that she didn't even want to use them. Her exact words: "Oh, Breanna, these are so cute I just want to hang them up!" I love my sister and her family. I cannot wait for her latest addition to join the world. Only 8 more days!!

And YES, expect a blog post :)

I Thought I'd Post

... considering the fact that I have been moved out of my apartment for about 3 weeks now. I would be VERY shocked if you couldn't guess what I've been doing with my spare time...

1. Knitting (My unnamed nephew is due on May 29th. I'm almost done with my 2nd to last dishcloth for his amazing mama)

2. Drinking Coffee. (Is this really something I have to say that I've been doing?!?)

3. Slowly (but surely) unpacking.

[No picture, I'm sure you don't want to see full-ish boxes...]

Work is getting a little easier. My boss says that I should be able to move up in about 3 months or so which is great. I'm not too concerned since my job isn't that bad anyway.

Jeremiah is already on his way and I'm happy for him! It would have been pretty surprising if I got a promotion before he did considering my job title is Technical Support and he has more experience than I do.

Delano is being Delano. I've been trying to teach him out to shake and he just doesn't get it. It's kinda sad because I think he's such a goofball. He does stupid things all the time. I guess that's all part of being a puppy.

BATH TIME!

I've been reading a series of books lately that make me want to learn how to relax. It's a series about a guy who falls in love with this girl and teaches her about magick (The Sweep Series).

Anyway, today is my day off. So I've been reading and I decided to take a bath. Later on I'm going to clean my apartment and start packing since we're moving in a couple weeks.

I was out of bubble bath so when I went online to look up how to make my own, all of the recipes requires essential oils. I didn't feel like going to the store so I tried something new.

I tried putting lotion in the running water.

I could smell the lotion sitting on top of the water and since there was no bubbles, I could sink deeply into the water without having to worry about bubbles touching my book. When I got out of the bath, all of the lotion floating on top that had melted clung onto my body, so I didn't have to moisturize afterwords.

I love candle-lit baths :)

Lovely Days

I've been meaning to post this post for about a week now. Why haven't I? I've just been lazy, to be prefectly honest. I've been working and that's it. Granted I work from 1PM - 10PM so when I wake up at 10:30AM all I want to do is drink coffee and facebook stalk people ;)

So, I'm posting this now. Today is Saturday and I've had a great day. I got the dogs from Jere's mom's house yesterday because they've been staying there and since I had two days off in a row I wanted to take them. (Puppy custody??!)

This morning we got up and went on an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G hike! I took them to the dog park which is right behind my house. It's usually just a 20 or 30 minute walk but I decided to wander . . . we were out for an hour and fifteen minutes just hiking in the foothills. Needless to say, I've fallen in love with nature and am itching to go camping. Good thing I've got my truck :)

Anyway. This blog is nothing about hiking or work. It's about nail polish. Imagine that.

Remember when I mentioned that my boyfriend is the best nail polish finder? When I painted my nails Blue Collar, I didn't use a topcoat or anything, I used Sally Hansen's Speed Dry Drops (or it's called something extremely similar). My new job involves a lot of typing and using my hands. This is a picture 7 whole days after painting my nails.

(These picture make me so happy! Now I don't have to stress about my nails when they start chipping [unlike Green Apple, it's day 7 and my nails look like death] and I can go longer without painting them).

Spring Nail Polishes!!

Where I live, the weather report and the season are never quite the same . . . yesterday it was sunny and warm . . . today it's clowdy with winds blowing at probably 30MPH, no joke. So when I went to Sally's to get some spring nail polishes today, I was faily disapointed with the weather. Luckily, I had my hair in an up-do so it wasn't getting all over my face :)

I went to Sally's a couple weeks ago and got two polishes that I adored by Orly. One was called Green Apple and the othe was Butterflies. I did my manicure with Butterflies on all of my fingers but my ring fingers. Unfortunately, Butterflies turned out to be a jell consistancy, so I returned it and got the most fabulous blue.

*Quote from All Lacqured Up about Green Apple* :
Green Apple is a vivid lime creme. The bottle color is very deceptive in that the polish dries darker on the nail. It has an almost pastel quality that goes away once applied. And holy pigmentation batman!! I barely needed two coats, it just flows on the nail so perfectly. If you’re looking for a fun spring green, this one is definitely a winner.

I dragged Jeremiah along with me, just because. I couldn't decide on what color to swap it out for. I told him I wanted a creme base (which took a bit for him to understand) and I told him what ones I was leaning toward. Out of his frustration to me for not letting him go to Radio Shack, he kept going "Here's one" or "How about this one?" Then, he did it. He found The One.

Orly: Blue Collar

I love this color of blue! My picture is a bit blurry (or just crappy, I had to brighten it a lot), but I don't care! It's fabulous! This is a two-coater, but they dry super fast and have amazing shine. I love this color and Green Apple as well. :D

YEY for spring!

Spring Cleaning

. . . in March? Well, not really. I'm doing laundry right now. On a Friday night. I'm cool.

....

....

Anyway. I had just completed my FAFSA (4 days late!!! oh no!!) and decided to do some laundry. I got to thinking about how energizing it is when everything is clean. It's an amazing feeling. Which is very hypocritical of me to say. These are pictures of my apartment. As of March 4th, 2011:

This is my kitchen. On a VERY regular basis.

This is my Living Room. Where we store things apparently.

Bathroom. All me.

UN-MADE BED!! [my Cabela's hat]

I don't know why I'm such a messy person . . . who likes to clean?

Acutally it's not that I like cleaning per se, it's just that when I get in the mood for it I REALLY get in the mood for it. And then it makes me super happy knowing that tomorrow I'm going to wake up with clean laundry. And that's all.

Well, on to the rest of the apartment :)

Coffeeeeee!!

I've NEVER been a huge coffee drinker until Jeremiah came into my life. He couldn't start his day without it and I never understood why until I started drinking it. I drink my coffee flavored and 'white'. I absolutely despise coffee with just milk and sugar.
Gag me!
I have it with as much creamer to just barely cover the taste of the coffee, but I can still taste it a little. And, as I have mentioned before, my favorite creamer is Creme Brulee by the brand CoffeeMate. LOVE their creamers.

Anyway. I am drinking coffee with that creamer in my favorite cup:

(isn't she a bute?:D )

And I got the thinking about how amazing my life is. I have a wonderful boyfriend whom which things are going GREAT with. I have the best dog I've personally ever had (I've had a better dog before but she wasn't mine; she was my step dads). I've got a job doing what I love and just got a promotion and now make more money and am, therefore, not so stressed on bill and such. Life is going really well for me and I just wanted to share that.

Have a wonderful day and God bless!

Bre :)

Summer Project

I was stumbeling (stumbleupon.com) and I came across this:

http://carinascraftblog.wardi.dk/2009/06/granny-square-joining-tutorial.html

MY SUMMER PROJECT.

It's a granny square blanket. Which I want for my house. Badly. Badly. BADLY! The only downside is that I don't crochet, I knit. So I'm either gonna have to learn how to crochet or learn how to do this with knitting needles. I bet it's possible.

:)

BTW: I just watched the superbowl because I wanted to watch Glee right after it :D
