Smokey Navy Eye

I have a soft spot for Britney Spears. Today I was watching her 'Stronger' video and fell in love with the make up, I don't even think I finished the video. I grabbed my Coastal Scents 88 regular pallette and got to work. This is my result:

Wild Imagination

I realized today that either I have a crazy imagination or things are just as obvious as they appear. In the last month I have noticed a couple water marks that look like something other than water.

*Micky Mouse at Sephora getting alchohol to take off the 20098978676 colored eyeliners I was testing out*

*Giraffe I found while drying dishes!*

*A Mushroom puddle I found while at the downtown library*

Bronze Summer Makeup

I am going to be babysitting in about 2 hours so I started to get ready. I wanted to do a sultry bronze eye and this is what I came up with:

*please keep in mind that I take ALL of my photos with my cell phone which doesn't have the best quality.*

I might do a tutorial on this look, but I'm still deciding. Like I said, I don't have the camera for the tutorials I would like to do, so it will be difficult. I will look into better lighting and ways to do tutorials. I love doing them so much :)

Water Marbling

I stumbled across some water marbling videos on YouTube and got totally hooked! I am OBSESSED with it! It looks GORG! So, I recorded my first attempt and this is what I got:

I know, I don't make very good videos because I only have my webcam. So, this is going to have to do for now. But this is the result of my first water marbling attempt:
This was the left hand.

This is the right hand.

On hindsight, I should have painted my nails white before I dipped into the water. If you look closely enough you can see through to my natural nail which I hate. Sheer polish just isn't for me. EVER!

For my second water marbling attempt, I got these results:

Left hand.

Right hand.

I love this! I will probably being doing this nail art all the time! The only downer is it is sorta hard to do because you have to move fast or else the polish won't be able to make a design and it will all just clump together. Also, I learned the hard way to not do this while on the phone with your boyfriends even if it is on speaker. . . you will loose focus on a funny story he is telling and mess up. Just a little tip :)

Chocolate Fix

A while back, I posted a blog saying that I was looking for the BEST brown nail color and I think I found it! It was one of the colors that I got on my Rite-Aid run.

It's beautiful! It had great staying power too! I've been working all week and I've barely had any chipping that wasn't my fault (I always pick at my nail polish, horrible habit!)

Stormy in August

Yesterday's weather was such a nice change! It rained!! Where I live, it gets to be about 100+ degrees in the summer, so a nice downpour was greatly appreciated. :) Out of some strange coinsidence I painted my nails on Sunday night in SinfulColors Stormy. This color is a dark color but with a surprise pop of color added to it in the right light.

This was taken in the direct sunlight.

I've gotten so many compliments on this color! I'm totally taking advantage of the fall fashion starting to come out and I am LOVINGG it! Can't wait! :) I LoVeE fall && winter.

Oh, I finished Plain Truth. It was good. Different ending than I thought there would be. So now I'm reading Lauren Conrad's Sweet Little Lies. I'm about half-way through it and I like it, but I'm gonna be done with it soon.

Pretty Little Liars season finale was INSANE! I am obsessed with that show! I can't wait for next season!! :)

That's so Lang!

So, after working most of last week, I desprately needed to repaint my nails! It was only at work where I was wipping down tables and putting toys away all day long that SinfulColors nail polish in Bamboo(LOVEEE!) started to chip. I was wanting to try some other colors of the 6 that I got from Rite-Aid and decided to try Sinful's Lang Lang. It's a pretty pretty purple/blue that is satin. I love it! I'm not a huge fan of purple, but this one was calling my name over and over again.

This swatch is without a flash indoors. Ignore my horrible paint job, please! If I mess up even a little bit I tend to not care and get polish EVERYWHERE! :)

This swatch was indoors with the flash on. Can you see how it looks a little bit blue? Gorgeous.

That reminds me of a random story. When I was in 8th grade, my science teacher Mrs. Warfield used to hand out paper that were important in the color 'Burple' so that there wouldn't be any arguments on whether or not it was purple or blue. Needless to say, we still 'discussed' it. Gosh, I still remember how vibrant that paper was. This nail polish reminds me so much of those papers, except more shiny.

Oh, just one quick random thing, I'm loving matching my toes and nails to a degree. I have Lang Lang on my toes and Nicole by OPI Light a Candle on my fingers.
