Show Me The Way

Where I live it's cold. Worse than cold; FREEZING! Last week the thermometer read 27 degrees IN NOVEMBER! It's been insane. Needless to say, I've been craving some warmth. My neighbor Missy and I have started knitting (which I have mentioned before). This is my first creation.

It's not finished but I can't wait for it to be done! Its a scarf that I'm making for my sister. The college she goes to's colors are silver and gold but she thought they were black and gold when I asked her. Oh well.

This is called Knifty Knitting or Loom Knitting. It's basically knitting for people who don't know how to knit. I'm going to keep working on this and eventually I'm going to learn how to knit for real. I can't wait. I'm so excited.

Another thing I've been craving is Christmas. Big surprise though, right?! So, I painted my nails in a beautiful green.

Show Me The Way by Sinful Colors. Beautiful.

It is a sheer color. Took 3 coats to get this result but I am glad I did. Green for Christmas trees and for when the holiday gets closer I'm going to do candy canes on my nails :)

I love Christmas!

Knitting anyone?

In my apartment complex, I have the best neighbors Missy and Bryan. They have become my 'family' and I wouldn't have it any other way. Missy has a job where she works 2 days a week, so needless to say, she has a lot of free time on her hands (unlike me). One day she told me that she likes to knit and I said that I've always wanted to learn but never had someone to teach me. Well, ladies, I've found my guru. She does what is called loom knitting which looks a little something like this:

It's basically a braiding type thing that makes really cool scarfs, socks, mittens, whatever you want! I like this because I haven't learned how to knit and I can still do this (I play on becoming a 'knitter' after the holidays). It might seem silly, but I really enjoy it. It's something I can do if I'm upset, happy, or just want to relax. I don't see myself giving up knitting anytime soon :)

Mint Apple

I painted my nails yesterday during my 3 hour break from work (yea, wasn't very happy about it) and I painted them in a color that I was surprised didn't have a blog post yet. I used this color SO MUCH during the summer; literally my 'go to' color. It's probably one of my favorite colors I have from Sinful Colors and it's called Mint Apple. One of the reasons why I love it is because it's different. It's a color that when I bought it, I wasn't so sure, but I am veryy glad I did.

*Say "Hi" Patton! lol*

It's a beautiful greenish mint color. Since I don't have the proper camera to show it, it also has gold flecks in it. I am obsessed with this color! I have been loving blue polishes on my nails lately and this one is probably my favorite. I always get compliments when I wear this. And the good thing too is that it's only $1.99 to have this amazing nail polish!

Ramble much?

I love blogging. I don't know why. As of right now, I only have one follower, but who cares, right. . . Oh yeah. ME! I don't do this because I want like 45643343 followers, but it would be nice for me not to feel silly for talking to only one person on a weekly basis.

Anyway. A couple people I know blog (and I'm jealous! One of them has 4 subscribers! can you believe it?!) and I was thinking about how my blog doesn't have character. I just kind of rant and ramble until I say bye. Then I started to feel a little bit sad (well more like sorry for myself) because then my next thought was 'well if my blog has no character, then that means I have no character! I know, the horror right? I feel like I don't give my blog enough of my 'voice' so I promise I'm going to work on that. Promise, promise.

Here is a list of things I've been missing soo sooooo much! :(

Starbucks!

I haven't had starbucks in forever! Literally. The last time I had starbucks was when my uncle came into town from seattle . . . We got coffee every day. He came here back when I graduated so that was in May. I'm sad.

Sushi

No one I know love sushi as much as I do. I could eat it all day long. I'm not joking either! I am obsessed with sushi. I only have mine with soy sauce tho. No icky wasabi. Too hot for me. Ew and I think ginger is gross. nope nope. Soy sauce will do just fine, thank you!

Reading

I love reading, but I haven't had the time. I'm still reading 'Mockingjay' from The Hunger Games trilogy! I started that over a month ago! Normally I would have finished it within 2 weeks at the most.

Zeebra Slipper

I used to be obsessed with zeebra print, but I kind of over did it and got bored with it. Almost everything I had had some type of zebra print on it. My twin got me some zebra slippers one day and I wore them all the time. They were my favorite! Then . . . my evil puppy got a hold of them and ruined them! He didn't bite holes in them, but he slobbered on them so much that they were not salvageable.

Wow, this sounds like I complain a lot. I swear I don't :)

Gunmetal

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! I've never been a huge fan of the holiday, but I am a huge sucker for scary and suspensful movies. I watched Paranormal Activity 2 yesterday.. yeah I love those kinds.

Anywhos. I've been working the past couple days at work (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week) and I've alreay got a cold! :( My boss was joking around about me needing to get used to the germs around the center and I laughed... because she was completely right. Ever wonder why school nurses never go home sick? It's because they build a tollerance to germs, which is what I'm going to be doing very shortly. Once I get better from my sore throat, I can almost 100% guarantee I won't get sick for a long long time.

OMG! RAMBLE! My point: I'm probably going to be staying home tonight that way I don't get myself resick when I'm actually starting to feel better *knock on wood*. So, I'm painting my nails, drinking coffee with Creme Brule coffee creamer (favorite) and watching 'The Vampire Diaries'. Yes. The perfect combination for a dreary sunday afternoon. (Yes, it is raining on Halloween where I live).

The nail polish I'm using today is one I've had for a while. It's by Sally Hansen and it's called 'Gunmetal'. It's a beautiful blue/grey color. Perfect for the weather.

The formula for this one is pretty good. It only took one good coat to get the same color as the bottle, but the brush isn't like the other Sally Hansen brushes I've used. That's ok tho. It's just an average brush.

I like metalic-y colors because I always catch myself looking at my fingers when I'm wearing them. And if I tend to look at my fingers a lot when I have a certain color on, it's a favorite :)

*please ignore my vacuum in the background* :D

Midnight Blue

Yey! It feels so good to be on my regular schedule of blogging and doing videos again. The other day I painted my nails for the first time in forever. I wasn't 100% sure what color I wanted to pick, so when I was going through my nail polishes, I was a little bit dumbfounded as to how quickly this color grabbed my attention. Yes, it's another Sinful Colors, but this one is fantastic. It's a beautiful royal blue. I love this color; I can't stop looking at my fingers :)

This was taken indoors next to natural lighting.

I love this color. I'm definately going to be reaching for it more often! (I say that a lot, lol)

Neglect

Wow. Seriously?! I've neglected my poor little blog. I feel bad :( I love blogging, so I have had some serious issues without it. Anyway, I do have a legitiment reason as to why I haven't blogged in a while. As you may know, Jeremiah moved back. In the past month we have moved out of my parents house (which is more difficult than it sounds). So now we have a cute little appartment downtown which is conviently located near his job and my job.

I got one yesterday (yey).

I went to an interview for one daycare and was talking to a worker there and she told me that she was gonna be leaving for a daycare I had perviously worked for. So I texted the owner who I used to work with and she offered me a job. I start next friday :)

It has been so nice having Jeremaih really in my life again. I've missed him. He's so good to me. Look what he got me!

A PUPPY!

His name is Delano after Frankli Delano Roosevelt (I'm a history buff) and I love him. Before I get any further, Teddy is staying with my mom. Jeremiahs dog doesn't do cats so he's gonna stay there.

He was 8 weeks old when this picture was taken. Now he's 11 weeks and getting to be a chunk. He has learned to sit and he's knows 'no' but he doesn't think that everything he does is wrong like biting and stuff. Oh well. He's just a puppy. Hopefully he will get it :).

Also, Jere has bought me a truck! It's a Dodge Ram (2001) and I l.o.v.e it! Horrible gas milage but I've always wanted a truck and I'm glad I've got one. All thanks to my man.

That's about it. I wish I had more to say but I've really just been looking for jobs and staying at home with the dogs (Jeremiah has a 5 year old German Shepard).

Right now I'm babysitting a 2 year old and he's just in his room playing. Joy. I wish he would fall alseep soon. It makes me feel better when things work out my way. Haha, don't we all wish for that?
