Chopped

Cut my nails today. They were growing weird.

The polish I'm wearing today is one of my favorite Zoya polishes. It's called 'Rica'. It makes me feel so girly. Love this rose gold color :)

It always looks orange to me until I hold it up to an orange lol

Yesterday

I painted my nails a color that is prettier in the bottle than on my nails. I've done a post on this before but now that I'm wearing it again I almost wish I hadn't.

The color is by Nicole by OPI and it's called 'Light A Candle'. The picture speaks for itself.

Coral please

Yesterday I did paint my nails but forgot to post. So I have on Sally Hansen 'Coral Fever'. I absolutely love the color but I have some issues with it.

First off that it is so streaky! I had to do 4 coats to get it fully opaque.

Second the drying time is not the best. Thankfully I had nothing to do with my hands for 10 hours or else I'd have swear words added in here...

Thirdly that I even applied a top coat (which I sometimes don't do because I remove the polish the next day) and I have a chip on my thumb.

With that being said though, I still love this polish! This color is the closest I can get to pink and it reminds me of cantaloupe. And now I'm hungry...

I know this picture us super awkward but the ring finger is true to color :)

Blue baby

Todays/yesterdays nails are by Essie. The color is 'Coat Azure' from last years spring collection. I picked this up at a drug store 50% off! Holla!

Everytime I wear this I get SO many compliments... If you can still find this I highly recommend it:

Bare nakkey

Yeah. You can barely tell I have anything on. Oh well. I wanted to go for the "clean and professional" look but I just feel odd.

Todays polish is OPI 'Bubble Bath'. Very sheer, very streaky: this is after two coats.... o_O.

Barney?

Today's nail polish is a color I got purely because someone said it was pretty. I didn't do any research or look up swatches or anything... I just bought it because Zoya was having a BOGO... So yeah. I needed another color and I couldn't make up my mind.

The color is called 'Demi'. I immediately think of Demi Moore when I hear that name. Any who... The polish. On camera (from the video I discovered this polish on) it looked amazing. It went perfect with her skin tone and almost made me drool it was so pretty.

When I got it in the mail I could smell the stench of nail polish as soon as I opened my mail box. (I usually would not use the word "stench" when describing Zoya because they are vegan friendly and are not supposed to smell that bad.) Turns out that whoever filled my nail polish overfilled my bottle so it was oozing out of the top, sticking to the wrapping it came in. Already disappointed, I grabbed my polish remover and cleaned it off.

When I painted my nails though, my mood immediately got better. This polish is SO drab in the bottle. Not going to lie. On the nails though.... WOW!! I absolutely love it! (my boyfriend on the other hand hates it lol).

Here is my swatch:

Green green

I did another green nail today. Sinful Colors 'San Frisco'

This polish took 4 coats but it was worth it.

Btw. My ring finger is a prime example of what happens when I am at work and bored o_O

Better late than never...

The polish I wore today was one I've shown in a post before. Orly 'Green Apple'

I did the worst thing yesterday so that's why there was no post. I bit my nails off.

I know.

No need to tell me.

I'm horrible.

Anyway, here is another picture :)

Shrimp day

It's like really gloomy outside today. This winter had been full of them, and yet we have not had any snow (which is strange for Idaho).

I decided that I didn't want to give in to mother natures depression so this is my nail color of choice for today:

OPI 'Cajun Shrimp'

3 !

Today I wasn't planning in painting my nails. I work today but have tomorrow off so I was going to paint them tonight in a bath with a glass of wine. Well, on my way out I chipped a nail so I really had to choice or else I would have no nails to paint tonight.

I bring to you Orly 'Blue Collar' which I have done a blog post before. Here is a picture of todays manicure (please ignore my cuticals :/ )

Day two!

I woke up early this morning, had some coffee and some hard boiled eggs. Besides that I painted my nails again... Go me! Way to keep it up! :)

I was going to paint my nails last night but thought that I would get tired and fall asleep and smudge my nails :/ so I decided against it.

Todays polish is by Sally Hansen. It's called 'Commandar in Chic'. One of my favorite nudes.

This picture is after one coat :) Enjoy!

No excuses

Except for the fact that I'm a but too lazy to keep up with this blog.

Jeremiah and I are moving out again so we need to start saving money again. I decided to start a "PROJECT PAN" for my nail polish because that is my most excessive beauty product. I will do my best to use up 5 nail polishes by June of 2012. That is going to be a difficult task considering the fact that I have never used an entire bottle before.

Today I have on Sinful Colors 'Mint Apple' which I have posted about before. That color is the closest I have to being gone so I figured it was a good place to start. :)

Here is a refresher on what this color looks like (only one coat):

Finger Strength

Like usual, I've been doing a lot of knitting. It's starting to really affect my fingers; I'M GETTING CALLUSES! hahaha. oh well. As long as my fingers are painted, that's all I care about.

What I've been knitting:

Finger-less Gloves! :]

Hand towel :]

Other then knitting those two projects I've been working hard at work and its paying off! Jeremiah and I both got the option to move to a different department where we'd both work the same days and same hours (which is GREAT for our budget) and we'd get 3 days off a week.

Oh, did I mention that moving departments means that we'll be getting a 5% raise? Holla!

This is the most adorable picture of Jere and Charlie <3
Short and sweet blog. Hey, I'm watching 'Pretty Little Liars' :)

June...

apparently June was not a month in my calendar this year. I wasn't even busy, really. Just the usual: knitting, nails, reading, drinking coffee, and working. I've got some FUN projects that I finished!! (Two of them I created and the other one I borrowed).

These two are ones that I just felt the urge to create something and I ADORE them!

My winter cowl!

Close Up
I created the winter cowl from an idea I got online but I decided to change it. After knitting all those dish clothes I was kind of burnt out on them, so I decided to make something to help sooth the Idaho winters. Its one of my absolute favorite colors and in the close up you can see the difference in the two 'heather greys' I picked out. The darker grey was by Red Heart (I don't usually like this brand's colors but this one is an exception) and the lighter grey is a wool from I believe Lion Brand? This cowl was easy to knit; heavy as I got further into it, but a favorite none the less. I'll be wearing this a lot this winter and fall!!

This is NOT supposed to be sideways.

Hey double-chin, How you doin'? :]
I love this cowl!! (I have a think for them, can't you tell ;]). My work is by Michael's and my coworker and I decided to go there on our lunch break. Our lunch is only a half hour so we were in a hurry. We went to the sale section and picked out the skeins that caught our eyes and this is the one I grabbed. It was called 'sombrero' and I know it was a sock weight but I don't remember this yarns' manufacturer's name either... oops.

With the sock weight yarn, I didn't know what to make but I LOVED the colors. It was cold when I got back to work (my work is either hot or cold) so I just grabbed my SIZE 11 NEEDLES and started making this. I'm used to knitting with cotton so this was a big adjustment with the smaller thread. I used the entire skein to finish this and every time I wear it I get compliments. And then I get to brag and tell them I did not buy it anywhere.... but that's a different story. More to come soon, Jeremiah is making breakfast :] YUMMY!

Accomplishment

I am currently typing this in my bathtub with my computer sitting on the ledge.

Weird? Not really.
Unsafe? Completely.

I finished the last of my dishclothes the other day and gave them to Amy this afternoon. It's my last day off this week and I wanted her to get them before she had the baby (she's been having contractions). I drug Jeremiah along with me. As much as he denies it, he loves my nephew Charlie (the current baby). So, I thought I'd get to spend a little quality time with him while he got what he wanted at the same time. Win-win situation.

Anyway. Here is the finished product:

All 8 of my pride and joy's :]

(sorry for the side view. Jeremiah took these)
Binky and a Stroller

Hand print and Moon w/ Stars

Rattle and Saftey Pin

Bottle and Baby Feet

Jeremiah picked out the ribbon :] so proud.

My favorite color is brown.. I had to.

I am so proud of myself for getting these done. It's not that difficult to learn how to knit and once I got started I couldn't stop. I'm now trying to learn how to make my own creations which is basically learning how to use and Excel Spread Sheet and getting started.

Also, I do NOT take ANY credit for creating these dishclothes. I got these from the amazing KrisKnits . She hasn't been using her blog as much, which is perfectly ok because life gets in the way of some things. I completely understand and, although I miss her knitting projects (her blog is what I aspire to be), I CANNOT wait for her return. I paid for these dishclothes and I WILL NOT be distributing them. They belong to Kris, I'm just glad she shared them with the public.

My sister loved these dishclothes that she didn't even want to use them. Her exact words: "Oh, Breanna, these are so cute I just want to hang them up!" I love my sister and her family. I cannot wait for her latest addition to join the world. Only 8 more days!!

And YES, expect a blog post :)

I Thought I'd Post

... considering the fact that I have been moved out of my apartment for about 3 weeks now. I would be VERY shocked if you couldn't guess what I've been doing with my spare time...

1. Knitting (My unnamed nephew is due on May 29th. I'm almost done with my 2nd to last dishcloth for his amazing mama)

2. Drinking Coffee. (Is this really something I have to say that I've been doing?!?)

3. Slowly (but surely) unpacking.

[No picture, I'm sure you don't want to see full-ish boxes...]

Work is getting a little easier. My boss says that I should be able to move up in about 3 months or so which is great. I'm not too concerned since my job isn't that bad anyway.

Jeremiah is already on his way and I'm happy for him! It would have been pretty surprising if I got a promotion before he did considering my job title is Technical Support and he has more experience than I do.

Delano is being Delano. I've been trying to teach him out to shake and he just doesn't get it. It's kinda sad because I think he's such a goofball. He does stupid things all the time. I guess that's all part of being a puppy.

BATH TIME!

I've been reading a series of books lately that make me want to learn how to relax. It's a series about a guy who falls in love with this girl and teaches her about magick (The Sweep Series).

Anyway, today is my day off. So I've been reading and I decided to take a bath. Later on I'm going to clean my apartment and start packing since we're moving in a couple weeks.

I was out of bubble bath so when I went online to look up how to make my own, all of the recipes requires essential oils. I didn't feel like going to the store so I tried something new.

I tried putting lotion in the running water.

I could smell the lotion sitting on top of the water and since there was no bubbles, I could sink deeply into the water without having to worry about bubbles touching my book. When I got out of the bath, all of the lotion floating on top that had melted clung onto my body, so I didn't have to moisturize afterwords.

I love candle-lit baths :)
